Bentonville grad comes home to ‘Bring It On’

Posted on February 7, 2012 by Becca Martin-Brown in What's Up! Daily No Comments

Bring It On: The Musical unites some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, including Tony Award-winning writer Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q); Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights); Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) and lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity).

But what’s the show about, one wonders?

Two squads, two schools, one mission: claim the title at the National Cheerleading Championships.

Interesting to local audiences is that Bentonville native and former Rogers Little Theater actor Sheldon Tucker is one of the ensemble members. Tucker was cheering collegiately in Hawaii before being cast in the show.
