Hanna’s Candle Company sold its plant at 2700 S. Armstrong Ave. in Fayetteville, but will continue manufacturing and distribution there.
The sale is a strategic way to reduce the size of Hanna’s operations, according to a company news release.
Hanna’s has a longterm lease with the new owners for 50 percent of the plant. The news release did not name the owners.
“This is a great change for Hanna’s, said owner Burt Hanna. “We still have the third biggest candle plant in the United States. It gives us the opportunity to be more efficient and keep jobs in Fayetteville.”
The news release did not say how many Hanna employees work at the plant. The company started in 1987 in the basement of Hanna’s house in Fayetteville.
