No, it didn’t pass anywhere

The public transit tax had its strongest support in Fayetteville — and still fell short there. Thanks to Tony Hernandez of the Northwest Arkansas Times for adding up the numbers.

The proposed quarter-cent sales tax failed 47 percent to 53 percent in Fayetteville in Tuesday’s election. The measure didn’t make it into the 40s anywhere else. It got 35 percent in West Fork, one vote in three in Springdale and three votes in 10 in Farmington and Johnson. It didn’t break into the 30s in any other town.
