A political mail piece saying that Rep. Charlie Collins, R-Fayetteville, is not fully supportive of the University of Arkansas violated university trademarks and was subject to a letter from the university’s trademark attorney, that attorney confirmed Monday.
Harold Evans of the Williams and Anderson law firm in Little Rock confirmed that he sent the letter on his client’s behalf but declined further comment. The mail piece was brought up in a legislative forum on Monday. Collins is running for re-election against Democrat Adella Gray, also of Fayetteville. Gray’s campaign did not send out the piece, according to comments at the forum.
