Why not just keep the fun of Valentine’s Day rolling through the weekend?
Perhaps a good way to do that would be courtesy of some live music.
Here’s some of the happenings I know of this weekend:
Country songwriter Chris Knight, who previously visited Northwest Arkansas for last August’s Taste of Country Festival in Fayetteville, will return to that town for a show Saturday (Feb. 16) at George’s Majestic Lounge. Knight, who has written songs for several contemporary performers, recently earned praise for his own album, “Little Victories.” Knight will join Cody Canada and the Departed for the 9 p.m. show. Tickets are $15.
A few other country songwriters will visit the same venue tonight (Feb. 15). Jason Boland & The Stragglers and No Justice will perform. Admission to the 9:30 p.m. show is $15.
Elsewhere, The Wandering Lake will partner with Meryll and Moon Magnet for a Saturday night show at The Lightbulb Club. The show will start about 10 p.m.
Also on Saturday will be a pair of performances by jazz prodigy Grace Kelly. We’ll talk more about her 7 and 9 p.m. shows at the Walton Arts Center in a little while.
What’s on your agenda?
