The state Highway Commission will meet on March 13 at 10 a.m. to consider the Bella Vista bypass. This special meeting is at the request of new commissioner Dick Trammel.

On a related note, Missouri Department of Transportation spokeswoman Becky Baltz confirmed Friday that “we can’t wait forever” on Arkansas to commit to starting work on the bypass. Missouri will still hold their $80 million portion of the project until they find out what Arkansas does in the aftermath of getting $351 million in federal stimulus money, however.
