Har-Ber routs Springdale, stays unbeaten in 7A-West play



SPRINGDALE — It would have been difficult for Fuller Chandler to script a better return to Bulldog Stadium.

The Springdale Har-Ber senior quarterback accounted for 228 total yards and three touchdowns as the Wildcats routed Springdale High 48-10 in Chandler’s return to the school where he started for two seasons.

Chandler and the rest of the Har-Ber starters built a 41-3 lead at halftime and spent the second half on the sideline as the Wildcats (4-1, 2-0 7A-West) rolled to their fourth straight win this season and ninth straight in the series.

FORT SMITH — Bentonville's defense rose to the occasion in the second half and preserved a slim lead, and the Tigers went on to post a 21-10 victory over Fort Smith Northside in 7A-West Conference action Friday night at Mayo-Thompson Stadium.
Bentonville (5-0, 2-0) had a 14-10 lead and held Northside (1-4, 0-2) on a pair of fourth-down plays in the final 13 minutes.
