Fort Smith Northside 29, Springdale Har-Ber 20

Fort Smith Northside turned two turnovers by Har-Ber into touchdowns as the Grizzlies defeated the Wildcats 29-20 Friday at Mayo-Thompson Stadium.

Northside took a 16-7 halftime lead after an interception return and a fumble return for a touchdown late in the second quarter. The Grizzlies added two score in the second half to withstand two three scores by Luke Hannon, who had two touchdown runs and a reception for a touchdown for Har-Ber.

Shiloh Christian 39, Gravette 14

The Saints built an early 19-0 lead and cruised to their sixth straight win at Champions Stadium.

Shiloh Christian (7-2, 6-0)  took advantage of excellent field position to score three first half touchdowns and rolled from there to set up a winner-take-all game next week at Pea Ridge for the 4A-1 Conference title, a first-round bye in the playoffs and home field advantage throughout the playoffs for the winner.

Charleston 47, Booneville 20

Charleston quarterback and Arkansas commit Ty Storey accounted for seven touchdowns - five through the air and two on the ground - and the Tigers rolled to a 47-20 win over Booneville Friday night.

Playing in front of an overflow crowd at Alumni Field, Storey found Dalton Christenberry for a 74-yard touchdown on the first play of the game and Charleston, the No. 1 team in the 3A, never trailed.

  • Fort Smith Southside (6-2, 4-1 7A-West) is up next for senior night at Bulldog Stadium. Counting the Rebels, Springdale’s last four opponents (Fayetteville, Bentonville, Fort Smith Northside) have a combined 16-4 conference record, with the only losses coming against each other.

  • Southside has the worst offense of the four, but the best defense, at least statistically. The Rebels have the top-ranked scoring defense (14.9 points per game) and total defense (237.9 yards per game) in the conference.
