Bentonville outscored Conway 26-6 in the first quarter, and the Tigers proceeded to claim an 86-71 victory over the Wampus Cats during Thursday's boys benefit basketball game in Conway. Malik Monk, who committed and signed a national letter of intent Wednesday with Kentucky, was one rebound short of a double-double as he scored 36 points. Girls — Conway 71, Bentonville 56

Take away the second quarter, and Bentonville's girls had a very close game in their benefit game Thursday night at Conway. The Lady 'Cats, however, dominated those eight minutes, outscoring the Lady Tigers 26-13 en route to a 71-56 victory. The outburst helped Conway turn a one-point lead into a 45-31 halftime cushion.
