Gavin DeGraw at the Arkansas Music Pavilion. All photos by KEVIN KINDER, NWA Media. Here’s how you can tell when a song at a concert is a good one (or at least popular on the radio) – dozens of cell phones and cameras go up at the first chord and stay in the air to record the entire occasion. There were several such moments at a joint concert by Gavin DeGraw and Colbie Caillat at the Arkansas Music Pavilion on Sunday (June 17) night

Ted Nugent at the Arkansas Music Pavilion. All photos by KEVIN KINDER, NWA Media. The best way to describe the one-and-only Ted Nugent was actually offered by the guitarist and part-time political activist about midway through his 75-minute set on Sunday (June 10) evening at the Arkansas Music Pavilion. Accused (perhaps by himself) of being a little feisty, he corrected that assessment in front of a crowd of about 1,000 fans.

[Show as slideshow] As the sun finally broke free from the clouds on an Arkansas Saturday (June 2), Wakarusa’s crowds spent the afternoon soaking in the rays and music from an eclectic set of performers. The temperatures created a buzz that could be felt throughout the festival grounds, and clothing came in shorter supplies as a result of the midafternoon sun. Someone stationed at the southern tollbooth told me that a fairly steady stream of cars were still pulling in to the venue in Franklin County until about 8 p.m.
