Brooke Sagely scored a team-high 25 points and knocked down clutch free throws late to help Rogers High outlast Springdale High in its season finale.

Sagely made 13 of 14 free throws and also grabbed eight rebounds as the Lady Mounties (9-18, 3-11) held off Springdale down the stretch after rallying from a double-digit first-half deficit.

Rogers trailed 31-20 in the second quarter, but went on a 29-10 run to take the lead and control of the game. The Lady Mounties finished off a season sweep of the Lady Bulldogs in their final game.

Callie King added 13 and Samantha Brown 11 for Rogers.

Fellow seniors Tyler Tutt and TreShawn Gause joined Owens in double figures, scoring 11 and 10, respectively. And so did freshman Tyler Garrett, scoring an impressive 10 points and also chipping in three rebounds, three steals and two assists in about 10 minutes off the bench in his Springdale debut after … Continue Reading ››
