Hipster folk band Of Monsters and Men have a song called “Mountain Sound.” That’s pretty perfect for Wakarusa, the annual Northwest Arkansas music festival they will play at this summer. The list that follows doesn’t contain all of the bands that will perform at this year’s Wakarusa … but it should get you excited about the festival anyway.

JJ Grey Southern rockers JJ Grey & Mofro — which also incorporate elements of soul into their sound — last year released the album “Brighter Days,” a live recording. The band from Florida is taking the show on the road, including a gig on Wednesday (Aug. 1) at Neumeier’s Rib Room in Fort Smith. The show begins at 8 p.m.; tickets are $15.
