Chris Robinson Brotherhood photo by Matthew Mendenhall If you don’t recognize Chris Robinson’s face (Hello beard!), you might recognize his voice, a bluesy bluster. If you don’t recognize either of those, perhaps you’ll recognize the name or his former band, The Black Crowes. Robinson has assembled a new crew called Chris Robinson Brotherhood for a pair of albums, June’s “Big Moon Ritual” and September’s companion piece “The Magic Door.” Robinson has described the band’s sound as “our version of the cosmic California boogie.” The group, touring in support of those records, will visit George’s Majestic Lounge on Tuesday (Sept. 18).
