During the course of the three-day Thunder on the Mountain country music festival, I took about 1,000 photos. Obviously, not every one of them can be used. We already shared several photos via our Thursday (June 6), Friday (June 7) and Saturday (June 8) analysis of the shows. But there were several good photos left over, and they follow below

Dylan Scott This morning didn’t much remind me of fishing weather, but, indeed, that’s what it is for professional anglers out at Beaver Lake this weekend for the FLW tour. And, because they are here, we’ll see a little bit of free country music.

Lots of folks got excited when the inaugural Thunder on the Mountain country music festival was announced earlier this year. And that excitement is warranted in many ways — it’ll be headlined by Toby Keith and Luke Bryan, and organizers tell us the event will exceed the size of the sister festival Wakarusa, meaning in excess of 25,000 may attend. The three-day fest takes place from June 6-8 on Mulberry Mountain north of Ozark on Arkansas 23. Today comes word of a new music festival, which will take place about four hours away from that site

Except, the folks at Pipeline Publicity, organizers of Wakarusa (and other festivals) have been pretty quiet about the coming year’s Wakarusa festival, which will take place May 30 through June 2 on Mulberry Mountain north of Ozark

The Blues Brothers. All photos by KEVIN KINDER, NWA Media Here’s what you need to know about The All New Original Tribute To The Blues Brothers, which took the stage before a rapt, three-quarters full Walton Arts Center on Friday (March 16) night: At one point, Elwood and Jake (those are the brothers) dressed up in bee costumes and Jake slid around on the floor. Then there were the voices, and the backup vocalists and the band and, well, a lot of activities, all delivered with energy.
