Tommy Fraley
SPRINGDALE — Tommy Fraley, 66, of Springdale died Tuesday, June 20, 2009.
He was born Dec. 17, 1942, at Hazel Valley, the son of Virgil and Velma Pearl Schader Fraley.
He was a retired long-distance truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by two sons, Tommy E. Fraley of Springdale and Timmy G. Fraley of Michigan; two daughters, Debra Fraley of Michigan and Brenda Kissane of Michigan; his mother, Velma Fraley of Greenland; four brothers, Earvel Fraley of Greenland, Chris Fraley of Texas, Vernon Fraley of Russellville, and A.J. Fraley of Greenland; two sisters, Floy Jenne of Greensboro, N.C., and Carolyn Jean Whiteside of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service were July 2 at Hazel Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
Officiating will be Glen Ludwick.

Johnny Lee Key
PRAIRIE GROVE — Johnny Lee Key, 61, of Prairie Grove, formerly from Buena Park, Calif., died July 1, 2009. He was born Oct. 22, 1947, in Prairie Grove to Robert Key and Lois Key-Cordell. He moved to California in 1959. He moved back to Arkansas in 2007.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Key.
John is survived by Jan, his wife of 32 years; one daughter, Denise Weiland of California; three sons, Jeffrey Key of Arkansas, Scott Harding and Matthew Key, both of California; his mother, Lois Cordell of California; four brothers, Timothy Cordell of California, Rex Key and Mike Key, both of Arkansas and Rick Key of Texas; three sisters, Darlene Kimball, Robbie Knipe and Kathy Garcia, all of Arkansas; five grandchildren, Amanda Key, Jacob Harding, and Joshua Harding, all of California, and Wesley Key and Brandon Key of Arkansas; and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins in Arkansas.
Services were held July 3 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. today, July 8, at El Toro Memorial Park Cemetery in Lake Forrest, Calif.

Jerrie Annette Ross
STILWELL, OKLA. — Jerrie Annette Ross, 62, of Stilwell, Okla., died June 25, 2009. She was born May 19, 1947, in Stilwell, Okla., the daughter of Kenneth and Ola Mae Denton Welchel.
She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Lincoln and was a member of the Stilwell Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Kevin Ross.
Survivors include her husband, Emmett Ross, of the home; one son, Steve Ross and wife, Pam, of Stilwell; sisters, Jan Waldron and husband, Dennis, of Prairie Grove, Terrie Lynn Slaughter and husband, Perry, of Lincoln; grandchildren Nathan Thomas, Tyler Ross, Drake Ross, Brittany Drywater, Kelsey Ross and Kevin Dean Ross Jr., all of Stilwell; and great-grandchildren, Dray Lynn Drywater and Braley Montana Drywater, both of Stilwell.
Services were held June 27 at the Stilwell Church of Christ with Bro. Joe Smith officiating. Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

Marie McChristian
FAYETTEVILLE — Marie McChristian, 85, of Fayetteville died July 1, 2009, at Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Aug. 31, 1923, at Farmington, the daughter of Lester and Zella Brown Broyles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McChristian; a son, Billy McChristian; and a sister, Wilma Cole.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Center Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son, Dick McChristian and his wife, Janet, of Fayetteville; a granddaughter, Alicia McChristian of Fayetteville; three sisters, Thealda Pennington, Doris Ann Yates and Wanda Sue Hammond, all of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was held July 3 at Farmington Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel of Fayetteville. Ronnie Morrison officiated.

Jane S. Thurman
SPRINGDALE — Jane S. Thurman of Springdale died July 1, 2009, in Springdale. She was born Aug. 7 in Park Hill, Okla., to Jesse Fred Summers and Elsie (Moore) Summers.
She was a 1941 graduate of Lincoln High School and was a retired registered nurse and a member of the Springdale Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Thurman.
She is survived by two daughters, Janelle York Berry of Via Campestre, N.M., and Debra York Hudson of Essex Junction, Vt.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 3 at the Springdale Church of God with the Rev. Danny L. McCulley officiating.
Burial was in Sugar Hill Cemetery in Lincoln.

Carol Lynn Fidler
PRAIRIE GROVE — Carol Lynn Fidler, 66, of Prairie Grove died July 2, 2009, in Houston. She was born June 30, 1943, in Evanston, Ill., to Robert and Hazel Wenell Brandenhoff.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Prairie Grove and a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She taught at the Prairie Grove Elementary School from 1967 to 1988.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Lee Fidler.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Fidler of the home; one son, Shawn Fidler and wife, Julie, of Prairie Grove; one daughter, Shannon Fidler of Farmington; her mother, Hazel Stearns and husband, John, of Farmington; one sister; and two grandsons.
Services were held July 7 at the Prairie Grove Christian Church with Matthew Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Prairie Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may by made to the Carol Fidler Scholarship Fund in care of any Arvest Bank.

Eleanor Remington
ROGERS — Eleanor Remington, 80, of Rogers died July 4, 2009 in Bentonville. She was born July 24, 1928, at Prairie Grove to James Frank and Etta Estella Wilson Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Grover Hamilton, J.W. Hamilton and Loyd Hamilton.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh Remington of the home; one son, Paul Remington of West Fork; one daughter, Barbara Johnson of Rogers; two sisters, Faye Remington and Nona Richie, both of Prairie Grove; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were July 6 at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove with L.V. Vickery officiating.
Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
